In 1929, Carlos “Danny” Herrera mixed the first Margarita at a bar called La Gloria in Tijuana — a golden halo of tequila, citrus, and salt that would go on to conquer the world. Every February, we honour that immortal moment with the one celebration that matters: Margarita Month.
And this year, by very popular demand, The Masterita Box returned.
Louder. Bolder. Better dressed.
Inside, was twelve world-class Margaritas — built by bartenders, balanced by perfectionists, and bottled by Curatif, creators of the World’s Best Premixed Cocktails (World Drinks Awards, five years running).
Craftsmanship made convenient.
WHAT WAS IN THE BOX
Six bold expressions — three cult classics, three brand-new legends — all perfectly sized to pour and share.
Blood Orange Margarita
A twilight twist on the classic, with juice from Mallee-grown blood oranges. Tangy, rich, and just the right amount of brooding.
Smoky Pineapple Margarita
Two spirits, one wildfire of flavour — tequila and mezcal intertwined with fresh pineapple and Marionette Pineapple Liqueur. Sweet, savoury, smoky, salacious… smouldering.
Apricot Mezcalita
A Curatif cult favourite. Tequila, Apricot Brandy, and lime dance together in perfect smoky harmony — an ode to the Picador, Matador, and Toreador family of agave sours. Sophisticated, sultry, and unmistakably suave.
Fuzzy Peach Margarita
Juicy, cheeky, summer-sticky. A riff that marries Cointreau (the Margarita’s original orange companion) with fresh peach liqueur, agave, and lime. A drink made for loud laughter and louder playlists.
White Grapefruit Margarita
Paloma-inspired precision. Pampelle Grapefruit Aperitif meets fresh ruby and marsh grapefruit for a bracing, dry-bitter finish. Lean, saline, and thirst-driven — a crisp reward for the citrus devotee.
Spicy Mango Margarita
Mango meets mayhem. Ghost pepper turns the heat up, while 100% agave tequila, fresh lime, and Joseph Cartron Mangue deliver luscious balance. A fiesta in a can; a dare in liquid form.
