Real Dads of Melbourne x Curatif Collaboration
We first met Jarrad and Michael, otherwise known as the Real Dads of Melbourne back in 2020 when they discovered our cocktails in a local retailer. Ever since we've loved learning more about these two wonderful Dads. Beyond being amazing parents to their son Reid, their warmth and generosity with their friends and community shines so very brightly and always brings a smile to our face. Over Christmas we saw that Michael had created some of his own home recipe Summer Martini for friends and family, and so we reached out to Jarrad to say it would be a lot of fun to recreate their recipe in the Curatif format and so here we are!
Michael's recipe called for Four Pillars Olive Leaf gin, which we love (and we'll use any reason to ring up our mates from Healesville who shared the podium with us at the International Wine & Spirit Competition last year), as well as Limoncello for which we have used Tommy's Limoncello. Tommy's Booze is made right here in Melbourne by Tom and Dan from Freddy's Pizza in Windsor - it's a super tasty drop and brought just the right elements of citrus. We've included Mancino Vermouth Blanco, a beautiful Italian Vermouth, as well as just a touch of Crawley's Martini Olive Brine to add a little salinity and texture.
Our intention here was to recreate Michael’s Summer Martini recipe as closely as possible, whilst elevating the savoury elements of the gin by including an additional classic component in olive brine. Initially there is a sweet, almost sherbet element of citrus brought by the limoncello that folds perfectly into the gentle arms of the Olive Leaf Gin. The savoury elements artfully distilled in the gin are complemented by the inclusion of the olive brine which adds a delighting aromatic character.
Served ice cold, this summer spin on a dirty martini is light and playful, filled spirit (literally and figuratively!), and has an elegant approachability that makes it a perfect freezer-tini. At 27% ABV this will get perfectly cold in the freezer, all you need to do is give it a quick shake (or a stir if you're feeling more Bond-like) and pour into your best martini stem.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. - If in the event your purchase is faulty, damaged, wrongly described or breaches a consumer guarantee we will cheerfully refund your money or exchange the product upon presentation of your proof of purchase. If your purchase incurred a delivery fee, then we will cover the cost of delivery for the return if Curatif is at fault. That is, if the wrong product is delivered, there is a fault with the product (including any damage caused in transit) or Curatif has breached a consumer guarantee. In all other circumstances, including change of mind, the delivery charge will be deducted from the refund to the customer.

Proof of purchase must be provided to obtain a refund/exchange and the product must be in a saleable condition. Saleable condition is defined as: - Within its use by or best before date.
- Packaging is not damaged and in original condition.
- No heat damage
In the event that your product must be returned to our fulfilment centre, please allow 2-3 business days for your refund to be processed after the product has been received at the fulfilment centre. You agree that you cannot change or cancel an order after it has been placed. If you wish to change or cancel your order please contact our Customer Service Team as soon as possible curatif@curatif.com. Every attempt will be made to accommodate your request, however unfortunately no guarantee can be given once an order has been placed. If we agree to you changing or cancelling your order after it has been placed, we may do so subject to you providing proof of purchase, to the ordered products being in their original condition and packaging and to you agree to pay an amount we request on account of our reasonable costs of processing the change or cancellation.
